Brachioplasty (Arm Lift) in Columbia, SC

Many people begin to develop loose, sagging skin and stubborn fat as a natural result of aging. One of the areas in which this can occur is the arms. To eliminate this excess skin and fat, you may want to consider an arm lift, also called a brachioplasty. At Plastic Surgery Consultants, we offer brachioplasties and other body sculpting procedures to men and women living in Columbia, Lexington, and the surrounding areas of South Carolina.

What is a Brachioplasty?

A brachioplasty, also referred to as an arm lift, is a surgical procedure designed to eliminate loose and dimpled skin to reveal a more toned, shapely figure. In addition to the obvious cosmetic benefits, patients often enjoy increased confidence, mobility, and clothing options as a result of treatment. Dr. Wassermann meets with each patient to assess their individual needs and goals, developing a personalized treatment plan that will best satisfy their desired results.

How Much Does a Brachioplasty Cost?

The cost of your brachioplasty will vary depending on your specific treatment goals. To determine the exact cost of treatment, we invite you to schedule a personal consultation with Dr. Wassermann. During your consultation, you will work with Dr. Wassermann to develop a personalized treatment plan that will satisfy your unique cosmetic goals. At this point, we will be able to provide you with the full cost of treatment. To help make our treatments accessible to those who need them, we accept a variety of payment options as well as financing.

How is a Brachioplasty Performed?

At Plastic Surgery Consultants, each brachioplasty is performed with the aid of anesthesia to ensure that the patient remains entirely comfortable throughout their treatment. First, an incision will be made in the armpit that runs along the inside of the arm to the elbow. Through this incision, Dr. Wassermann will remove excess fat and skin to create a firmer appearance. Afterwards, the incision will be closed and treatment will be complete. An arm lift typically lasts an hour or two, depending on the results desired.

What is Recovery Like Following a Brachioplasty?

Dr. Wassermann works with his patients to develop treatment plans that fit their needs and emphasizes natural-looking results with minimal scarring, downtime, side effects, or interruption of their normal daily life. After an arm lift, most patients are able to resume work and non-strenuous activities approximately one to two weeks after treatment.

With a brachioplasty, patients can achieve toned, contoured arms in one easy treatment. Plastic Surgery Consultants offers brachioplasties and other body sculpting procedures to the residents of Lexington County, Richland County, and the surrounding areas of South Carolina.
