Rhinoplasty in Columbia, SC

If you are unhappy with the appearance or shape of your nose, you may want to consider a rhinoplasty at Plastic Surgery Consultants. You can count on us for natural-looking results that help complement the rest of your features. We offer rhinoplasty to patients/residents of people living in Richland County, Lexington County, and the surrounding South Carolina communities.

What is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty, also called a nose job, is used to improve facial balance and symmetry by adjusting the shape, size, or angle of the nose. For some patients, this can help to create a more youthful appearance. Breathing abnormalities caused by irregular or damaged internal nasal structures can also be addressed with a rhinoplasty procedure. Whether the patient desires rhinoplasty to sculpt a more flattering bridge, narrow the nostrils, or define the tip, Dr. Wassermann can turn a vision into a beautiful reality. Additionally, he carefully plans each procedure to achieve the desired result with no visible scarring. Whatever your reason for considering a rhinoplasty, we will tailor a unique treatment plan that will allow us to address your specific needs and cosmetic goals.

How Much Does a Rhinoplasty Cost?

The cost of your rhinoplasty will vary depending on your specific treatment goals. To determine the exact cost of treatment, we invite you to schedule a personal consultation with Dr. Wassermann. During your consultation, you will work with Dr. Wassermann to develop a personalized treatment plan that will satisfy your unique cosmetic goals. At this point, we will be able to provide you with the full cost of treatment. To help make our treatments accessible to those who need them, we accept a variety of payment options as well as financing.

How is a Rhinoplasty Performed?

We perform all rhinoplasties with the aid of anesthesia to ensure that each patient remains entirely comfortable throughout the duration of the treatment. Then, incisions are carefully made inside the nose to allow for reshaping. Depending on your treatment goals, cartilage or bone may be removed to correct the shape of the nose. After adjustments are made, the incisions will be closed and the treatment is complete. A rhinoplasty can last up to three hours, depending on the results desired.

What is Recovery Like Following a Rhinoplasty?

Most rhinoplasty patients at our South Carolina center enjoy a rapid recovery and are able to return to non-strenuous activities in one to two weeks. The majority of bruising and swelling typically subsides in three weeks, and complete tissue softening and final results are evident after six to nine months. To help patients achieve the best results possible, Dr. Wassermann may also suggest additional treatments to enhance the outcome of rhinoplasty based on his patient’s unique needs.
