What is a Breast Lift?

A breast lift, also known as a mastopexy, is a type of breast surgery designed to raise and reshape the breasts, creating a more aesthetically pleasing and defined figure. Women often experience sagging or a decrease in volume in their breasts after weight loss, aging or pregnancy. A breast lift can help patients restore the appearance of the breasts, often helping them look years younger and pounds lighter after surgery.

How Much Does a Breast Lift Cost?

The cost of your breast lift will vary depending on your specific treatment goals. To determine the exact cost of treatment, we invite you to schedule a personal consultation with Dr. Wassermann. During your consultation, you will work with Dr. Wassermann to develop a personalized treatment plan that will satisfy your unique cosmetic goals. At this point, we will be able to provide you with the full cost of treatment. To help make our treatments accessible to those who need them, we accept a variety of payment options as well as financing.

How is a Breast Lift Performed?

As a surgical procedure, all breast lifts are performed with the aid of anesthesia to ensure that the patient remains comfortable for the entire treatment. There are two types of breast lift, a PeriAreolar Mastopexy and a Vertical Mastopexy. In a PeriAreolar Mastopexy, incisions are made around the areola, and excess skin is removed and the results can improve the ptosis of the breast. In a Vertical Mastopexy, incisions are made around the areola and extending downward (what is called a “lollipop scar”), allowing us to remove excess skin and fat from the breasts. Once removed, the breast is reshaped and repositioned higher on the chest wall. Afterwards, the incisions are closed and treatment is complete. In certain patients, the breast lift procedure can be combined with breast augmentation for enhanced results, correcting breast sagging and ptosis and creating harmony between the nipple and point of maximum projection of the breast mound.

What Results Can I Achieve with a Breast Lift?

The result of Dr. Wassermann’s medical expertise, personalized treatment approach, and artistic vision is a natural-looking, balanced, and attractive breast lift outcome. Scarring, incision placement, and other concerns are discussed thoroughly prior to the procedure so patients can make informed decisions that are right for them.
